Challenge
A&T Trained Dogs provides specialist dog services and training to families both locally in Lancaster and across the world, with a variety of services ranging from grooming and day care, to training specialist dogs.
A&T’s challenges stemmed from operating in a highly competitive industry, and materialised in two forms.
Firstly, A&T were struggling to compete due their competition already being highly established within the industry. However, A&T knew they offered extra services to their competition so wanted to shout about this to set them apart.
Similarly, their rankings and conversions were hindered due to a lack of in-depth and optimised content, combined with a weak user journey.

Solution
Our SEO account managers approached the site in three stages.
Stage 1 involved developing new service pages to highlight the extra services A&T were able to offer customers - over and above what their competitors could. Then as the client expanded their business offerings further, we collaborated with them to build new pages from scratch, with SEO at the forefront of the content. These pages included ‘service dog’ and ‘working dog’ pages.
Stage 2 involved optimising and expanding existing content. Our team deep-dived into the search terms for all five service areas A&T offers. A&T’s huge range of services, combined with its wide target audience gave the account managers a plethora of keywords to work with. This meant they were able to build upon existing content, altering the language used to match the search terms used by their audience.
Finally, stage 3 utilised building internal links to improve the user journey on the website, and help turn the rankings and visitors achieved into customers! They used internal linking between blog pages, service pages and purchase pages to help guide the customer and allow for a seamless journey.
Result
Overall, the user-focussed strategy has meant A&T have seen a huge rise in rankings, with many keywords hitting the top of the SERPs.
The internal linking approach has also resulted in a massive increase in enquiries from people interested in their services.
