The SEO Works supports Sheffield Cancer Charity in half marathon
The New Year has barely begun, but already The SEO Works has hand-picked (scraped together!) a team of fitness conscious, challenge seeking runners to participate in the 2020 Sheffield Half Marathon. In late 2019, upon a chance meeting we were given an amazing opportunity to partner up with one of Sheffield’s oldest and most prestigious cancer charities, Cavendish Cancer Care.
Cavendish Cancer Care is one of the partner charities of this year’s Sheffield Half Marathon, and are dedicated to improving the quality of life for people affected by cancer in South Yorkshire, North Derbyshire, and Nottinghamshire.
Since 1991, they have been providing cancer patients and their families with emotional and physical support through therapy and counselling, and offer free-of-charge packages of support, tailored to each individual’s specific needs.
The dedicated team at Cavendish Cancer Care also offer therapy sessions, delivered by highly skilled and experienced professionals, which help to alleviate the emotional and physical distress caused by a cancer diagnosis. Their therapies include Counselling, Acupuncture, Aromatherapy, Massage, and more.

We know it’s not going to be easy! But we’re so grateful – every penny you raise is going to go straight back into our frontline services. You’ll do brilliantly and we can’t wait to cheer you all across the finish line!”
Always looking for a great and worthwhile charity to partner with, the team at The SEO Works jumped at the chance to be involved with Cavendish Cancer Care and what better way to raise money and awareness than entering a team for the fifth successive year into one of the UK’s most beautiful and challenging half marathons.
Aiming to raise as much money as we can between now and March 29th (while hopefully shedding a few pounds in the process as well!), there will be a team of over 10 ‘runners’ from the firm all aiming to complete the course gain a memorable experience and personal achievement.
For some of our team, it’ll be their first half marathon, or competitive run of any distance, so we’re hoping as many of you kind folk out there will be generous enough to acknowledge the sacrifices we’ll be going through in training for the event, and spare us all a few quid of your hard earned money to benefit this amazing charity!
